Charming Antiques
Wonderful Gardens....

The Garden Pavilion Bed and Breakfast is a stylish, spacious and well appointed retreat, set amongst the gracious gardens and rolling pastures of AL-RU Farm.

Perfectly situated for your next trip to South Australia.

Your host Ruth Irving will welcome you and ensure your stay is memorable.

Stylish and Luxurious

The Garden Pavilion Bed and Breakfast is spacious and airy with tall ceilings exuding elegance and charm giving you a feeling of comfort and well being during your stay.

Ruth Irving, one of Adelaide's best known antique dealers, has selected some wonderful antiques from her collection for furnishings.  The drapery, linen, towelling and china is of the highest quality.

The terrace, overlooking your own private garden enables you to view the wonderful garden panorama, the wild birds and peacocks, gentle sunsets onto the majestic eucalypt trees beyond.

In winter, play games or read a book and listen to music nestling in front of the log fire and in summer play bowls or croquet on the lawns or laze in the hammock under a shady tree.

Spacious and airy...

Romantic Gardens

AL-RU Farm is famous for its garden and has been part of the Australian Open Garden Scheme.  This garden is the subject of a whole chapter in Susan Irvine's latest book, "Rose Garden's of Australia".  A chapter has also been devoted to the garden in a new book by Holly Kerr Forsyth "The Country Woman's Garden".

Ruth Irving, the garden creator, combines formal and classical design elements in her romantic garden.  In early spring and winter, soft pink prunus blossoms complement bulbs and large drifts of forget me nots, silene and euphorbia.  By November the garden is a sea of colour with 800 roses, masses of poppies and countless perennials.

Of special beauty is the formal white garden surrounding a lawn entered through a fragrant archway of the rose "Devonienses", Wisteria and lavender.  In autumn the trees start to colour and the perennial asters parade stylishly through the garden.
